Haley began working in Montessori Schools in 2012 as a rhythm and movement teacher for preschools in Chicago. After teaching at many schools, parks, gyms, and studios, she recognized the sustained peace and learning that the Montessori environment had to offer and decided to focus her energy toward that effort. In 2013 she moved to Portland to attend Montessori Northwest where she earned her AMI Primary diploma as well as her M.Ed. in Montessori Education (from Loyola University Maryland). During the 2014-2015 school year she worked as the lead guide and school director at Bluebird Montessori in Silverton, OR. Although Haley has shifted her career away from dance she continues to be fascinated by the the relationship between our thoughts and our physical selves. She is still making dances, currently experimenting with choreography for film and video. She enjoys working with the children and families of SMMS and seeing the children develop and grow.
Tammy Miller attended Puget Sound Christian College and then Hair Styling school before she enrolled in assistant Montessori training at Montessori Institute NW.
She’s been teaching at SMMS since 2005. Married to Randy for over thirty years with three children: Rylan, Braden, and Elise. All three attended SMMS.
She enjoys time with friends and family, watching Elise play basketball, listening to music, gardening, walking and going to the gym.
